Lightweight On the Go ghd Styler

The ghd Unplugged Cordless Hair Straightener is truly amazing. It styles as well as a ghd Gold Styler (it uses the same dual zone sensors as the Gold Stylers), has enough charge for 20 minutes styling and yet is compact enough to fit in your hand bag. While it may not be able to create a style which will last quite as well as the best corded stylers (Chronos and Platinum +) it is still one of the best compact stylers available from any brand. For us it is the No 1 cordless styler because its so useable.

Being a battery powered styler you may expect it to be heavy but the first thing you notice is how light it is. At 300g it is as light as a corded Platinum + styler! It is much lighter and more compact that a Dyson Corrale and its other major difference is the ghd power connector is USB-C so you can charge it in a wide range of situations. For comparison the Dyson has its own specific power cable which is 4m long has a mains 3 pin plug on the end and is much bulkier and much much heavier.

One point to be aware of is it cannot be used when it is being charged. The plates of the Unplugged are smaller at 22.5mm wide than both the Chronos and Platinum+ at 26.8mm wide and are more suited for quicker on the go styling. It has the same curved barrel design of the ghd corded stylers for styling in waves and curled styles.
