COVID-19 Safety Requirements

Some Important Points regarding your visit to Salon: Safety Requirements due to COVID-19

Thank you for your booking at North Laine Hair Company, we can’t wait to see you again!

You can rest assured that have put in place strict protocols to keep you safe during your visit to North Laine Hair Company. We are taking the social distancing, hygiene, and safety rules very seriously.

We would like to walk you through your new experience with us.

Prior to your service:

If a consultation is needed prior to your appointment, this may be carried out via a phone call. For colour appointments, in most cases the stylist will need to see your hair beforehand and we will invite you in for a consultation.
All colour clients, new & existing are required to have a skin allergy test. You will need to visit the salon for this test at least 48 hours before your colour appointment.

Change to charges:

Unfortunately, all discounts and promotions are suspended, until further notice.
We are no longer able to offer discounts, such as re-booking discounts and students discounts. However, we would like to offer a 15% off discount to all NHS staff (please ensure you bring in your NHS ID).

There will be a new £6 charge for each cut and each colour service to cover our additional costs as a result of the pandemic.

We are no longer offering a complimentary ‘blast dry’ with a colour. All colour services must be booked with a full price blow dry or a cut and blow dry.

Arrival:

Please come alone (unfortunately we do not have space for you to bring anyone with you & meet guidelines) & bring as few belongings as possible. You will be asked to keep all your belongings with you, throughout your visit.

We will have a strict ‘one in, one out’ policy. So we ask you to please arrive to your appointment on time, as you will not be able to enter earlier. Equally, if you more than 5 minutes late, we may not be able to carry out your service.

Please enter the salon once you can see it is safe to do so, meaning adequate space at the arrival desk. You are required to wear a face mask at all times for the duration of your visit. If you are unable to bring your own, we will provide a mask for you.

At arrival we will ask you to use the hand sanitiser provided & sign a form stating that you are well & able to enter the salon. We will be asking:

– Have you been in contact with anyone known to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
– Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
– Do you have a temperature? We will take your temperature using an infrared thermometer.
– Have you noticed a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell?

If you answer yes to any of these questions now, or between now and your appointment please contact us.
Once signed in, you will be directed to your stylists’ station, not walked. All stations will be clearly numbered.

During your visit:

All the team will be wearing a face mask and a face shield. We will be talking with you through the mirror, not face to face, as we are used to. There will be safety screens positioned in certain locations in salon.

Sadly, we are not able to offer any drinks throughout your visit, equally you are not permitted to bring any food or drink with you, except for a water bottle. You can of course re-fill this in salon at our water station.

We are also not able to provide physical magazines, however you can view all of our magazine selection online using your phone. Details will be provided in salon.

End of your visit:

All styling equipment, styling chairs, work tops and mirrors will be sanitised after every client visit.
We will be requesting everyone to pay with card to keep a cashless environment. If you wish to give your stylist a gratuity, this can be done so, via card.

Please have your wallet/purse ready for payment and date ready for booking your further appointment. We are very sorry that there will not be time to have a catch up with our lovely Front of House Team, as with a one in, one out system we will need to keep the check out process fairly swift.

Thank you!

With these adjustments we will keep everyone safe and healthy. With our usual friendly, happy environment.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients, friends and family in what has been a difficult and unprecedented time for all.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all back in a happy healthy manner, with a new normal routine.
